Large round footed punch bowl. The exterior is covered with a transfer printed underglaze blue and white floral vine design. The pedestal is covered with a different blue and white floral pattern. Gold stripe along the rim and the base edge. The top part of the inside edge is also decorated with a transfer printed underglaze blue and white floral vine pattern with scrolls. On bottom of interior is a blue and white sprig of petaled flowers. Maker's mark on the underside of the foot: "MADDOCKS / LAMBERTON / WORKS" inside a circle, with stylized "M" atop it and "ROYAL PORCELAIN" around its outside bottom edge.

Members of Grecian Lodge of Lawrence, Massachusetts, made this punch bowl part of their ceremonial occasions from the 1890s into the twentieth century. Age and damage eventually rendered the bowl too fragile to be used, but it was preserved at the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts as part of Grecian Lodge’s history.
