a: Round Masonic Scottish Rite 33rd degree purple cap. Purple velvet band around the cap with gold edges. Applied to the purple velvet section is a gold bullion vine with sequins. Applied at front center is a purple velvet and gold bullion Salem cross with crosslets. Each side of the cap has a round gold-tone Scottish Rite button with double-headed eagle. Extending between the buttons is a gold cord. Lined with purple and machine-embroidered in yellow, "Ill. Francis G. Paul." Brown leather sweatband applied inside the cap. Maker's name is stamped into the leather. B: Round brown leather case for cap with handle at top. Zipper-closure. Lined with red leather. Outside of case is stamped in gold "Francis G. Paul."
