Masonic Shrine Belt Buckle. OBVERSE: Rectangular buckle in solid cast bronze has slightly convex curvature to face. Raised design features image of camel train, prominent at PR but extending along full width of buckle, with men holding scimitar, flag, and sack, standing on a slightly stippled surface of plain "sand"; at PL side, there is a distant "city" of five buildings in background. Prominent at top PL corner, there is a Shrine emblem (scimitar, sphinx head, double tiger claws, and star). Raised, flat, narrow border all around. REVERSE: Soldered lengthwise along center of slightly concave, stippled surface is hardware for holding belt: center panel rectangle-shaped but with circular outcropping at center; at PL end, a curved hook extends 3/8" from surface, for hooking through hole on belt; at PR end, a folded rectangular panel holds in place a rectangular-shaped metal loop with its ends angled inward, for threading belt through. Beneath this metal loop, at upper PR corner, there is a cast circular depression in surface. Stamped into surface at center top, "©1978 HARRY KUTZNER CO. / Providence, R.I. / SOLID BRONZE".
