"Christmas, 1863". Six separate scenes. The largest center one shows a soldier being greeted by his family. To the left of that a scene shows Santa Claus watching the sleeping children. Beneath that scene depicts the birth of Christ. To the right of the center scene shows children discovering their gifts and beneath that shows people attending church. Lower center is Christmas family dinner scene during a soldier's Christmas furlough. From Harper's Weekly, Dec. 26, 1863.
