Masonic sepia-toned carte-de-visite photograph. Image of Past Master's jewel suspended from ribbon. The jewel depicts a square and compasses with quadrant framing a sun with a face. The jewel is suspended from the ribbon by two metal rings. The ribbon is grosgrain, with an ornately decorated metal strip near its bottom end, just above the jewel. At the top of the ribbon is a metal pin clasp inscribed with the text "Washington Lodge," and a square and compasses emblem below the inscription. The ribbon is slightly frayed at the edges. There is a dark background. Printed in black on the back is "Photographed by / D.O. Furnald, / Manchester, / N.H. / Additional copies may be had if desired, by / sending a sample card."
