Pair of Knights Templar Shoulder Boards. a: OBVERSE: Black felt, likely wool, stretched over hard inner material in shape of convex rectangle. 5/16"-wide gold bullion edging all around outside of top and three grey-colored, 8-point metal stars inside; each star has a raised circle with a raised crown in its center. REVERSE: White leather rectangle stitched on with white thread (likely cotton) has four holes, one in each corner, with white stitching around them. Adhered to center is a small, rectangular white plastic label with "555" printed on it in black. b: OBVERSE: Black felt, likely wool, stretched over hard inner material in shape of convex rectangle. 5/16"-wide gold bullion edging all around outside of top and one grey-colored, 8-point metal star inside; star has raised circle with raised crown in its center. REVERSE: White leather rectangle stitched on with white thread (likely cotton) has four holes, one in each corner, with white stitching around them; an additional two holes in the leather, where missing stars once were, are located on either side of a split ring (1/2"dia.) of corroded metal that is fastened to center with smaller metal ring.
